My sister Jacki attended a wedding on Saturday and asked that James and I mind her kidlets. What fun was had. I watched them for a few hours on my own, then James and Abi came over once the kids woke up from the daily naps.


We danced, read, ate fairy chicken and had a jolly time.


On Sunday, we shopped for some last minute Father's Day gifts and then had dinner at my in-laws house.


Poor Abigail is really sick. On Saturday she started coughing and acting out of sorts.
Yesterday it escalated to a different level, add a fever, chills, aches and she was a really sick girl.
Today is even worse. Pale skin, high fever, no appetite, croupy like cough. I can't get her in to see her usual Doctor until 2pm tomorrow, but I might whizz her up to the medical centre when she wakes up later. I'm really worried about her.


Well that was my weekend. Went so quickly. We spoiled James for Father's Day and bought him a super cute card and a super duper present too. He is so excited to fly a 737 in the simulator. My nerdy husband, I love him to bits!

Abi loved her $1 soft serve cone and managed to spill most of it on James's sweater. She also demands on wearing her sunglasses wherever we go. She wears them at night, in the car too, saying "it's dark mummy".

Then we strolled over to see the home-made carney rides, above is the "Wild Rider" which was playing an awesomely terrible remix Britney Spears 'Toxic'. The swings were creaking and I thought one of them might come loose at any time. Hence only standing here for about 18 seconds. Haha.

Point & Shoot: North Entrance Beach

North Entrance Beach, Central Coast

One of my favourite places to sit and watch the waves roll in. The tide was in so there wasn't much sand to walk on, so we sat here and enjoyed the view. This is the beach, directly in front of the beach house. There are no lifeguards or flags so you can't swim here.

Strong rips are always prevalent, and I would never consider swimming here. Abi plays in the sand, collecting shells and rocks. Fisherman have their rods perched in the sand, hoping to make an ocean catch. Dogs frolick in the foam and lovers walk the length of the beach, hand in hand.

Helicopters fly over in the summer, doing their observation and search. Last summer, it was reported that a great white shark had been spotted frequently at this beach, as well as Soldier's Point, which is where we swim!! Eek!

Abigail's 2nd Birthday Party at Grandma's House in Dural

My princess Abigail turned 2 on Saturday. 2 years old! We had a wonderful party and this photo almost captures how gorgeous Abi looked in her party outfit. Her Grandma and Great Gran made this for her, including the Foofa T-Shirt. Abi loved her tutu so much, she didn't want to take it off until bedtime.

Welcome home dinner for my brother Tim at my parents house.

It's always cosy around the dinner table, especially now that my siblings have partners and we have grandkids too!
